PLACING
REPRODUCTIVE
STORIES IN
PUBLIC MEMORY

We believe in the transformative power of a birth story. We are part of a movement for reproductive justice.

Season 2026 is in the oven!

We will be presenting a series of three workshop productions this year, beginning with the premiere of Robert McGrady’s Birth of Athena in June; continuing with an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Titus Andronicus in July, directed by Zillah Glory Langsjøen; and concluding with the premiere of Tiny Reserved American Doll (or TRAD), directed by Madeline Wall, this upcoming autumn.

WHAT’S NEW

The Birth Play Project is a Minneapolis-based company of theatre artists.

The BPP began as a site of artistic research in 2020. Since then, we have grown into a thriving community of artists guided by the principles of reproductive justice.
